“I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin,” a 911 caller said after the stabbing, according to police.

Authorities on Thursday identified the 81-year-old victim and the suspect in a fatal stabbing in a residential area of Tarzana in Los Angeles, as disturbing details emerged about a 911 call connected to the incident.

Our sister station KABC-TV said the victim is actor James Handy, known for roles in “Jumanji,” “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Arachnophobia.”

Officers responded about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to a radio call of “unknown trouble” in the 19200 block of Erwin Street, three blocks south of Victory Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

A suspect was taken into custody after a man was stabbed to death in a residential area of Tarzana, police said.

The 911 caller stated, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin,” according to a news release from the LAPD.

Officers arrived at the scene to find 81-year-old James Handy in the front yard of a home, unconscious and suffering from a stab wound to his chest, authorities said. LAFD paramedics transported Handy to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“The suspect flagged down nearby responding officers, telling them he was the one they were looking for,” the police statement said. “The suspect resides at the location with his mother, who is the victim’s girlfriend.”

The suspect was identified as 44-year-old Michael Gledhill, a resident of Tarzana, the LAPD said. He was arrested and booked for one count of murder, and his bail was set at $2,000,000.00.
