t’s a story of unimaginable resilience and heartbreak unfolding in Fort Worth. Firefighter Caleb Halvorson is fighting for his life in the hospital after being trapped beneath the collapse of a burning home, while at the very same time, his newborn son battles to survive in a neonatal intensive care unit.

Halvorson was on duty when the roof of a home engulfed in flames came crashing down around him. Pinned under heavy debris and unable to reach his radio, he prayed that someone would hear his muffled cries. His fellow firefighters braved fire and rubble to free him in the nick of time.

Doctors say his injuries are severe, and he will likely require multiple skin grafts, but they remain hopeful that he will survive.

Meanwhile, across town, his wife Haley keeps vigil at the bedside of their tiny son, Hudson, born 13 weeks premature and still clinging to life inside the NICU.

💔 For one family, two battles are being fought at once: a father struggling to heal, and a baby fighting for every breath.

As the Halvorsons endure this double test of faith and strength, the Fort Worth community is rallying behind them, sending love, prayers, and support.
