MAUI, HAWAII – Everyone dreams of a quiet, romantic honeymoon in paradise — and for beloved TV host Hoda Kotb, it started off exactly like that. Tucked away in one of Hawaii’s most secluded oceanfront villas, she and her new husband were ready for sunsets, slow dances, and sweet nothings.
But things took a… noisy turn.
According to an insider (okay, it might’ve been the hotel bartender), the newlyweds were enjoying some “private time” under the stars when a rogue wild boar (yes, you read that right) crashed through the foliage and into their outdoor shower area.
“There was shouting, splashing, and something that sounded like a ukulele snapping,” one guest reported. “It was chaos — but romantic chaos!”
No one was hurt, thankfully. The wild boar was safely escorted out by a security guard named Lenny, who later got a high-five from Hoda herself.
Still, the moment has since become legend among the resort staff, who now refer to the villa as “The Love Shack with Boar Patrol.”
When reached for comment, Hoda simply laughed:
“Well… it was unforgettable.”
Fans are loving the story, with one tweeting:
“Only Hoda could turn a honeymoon horror into a hilarious memory. Iconic.”
And if you thought that was wild… wait till you hear what happened during their snorkeling trip. But we’ll save that for next week 😉
