Authorities in Georgia have just released the final CCTV footage of Professor Charles M. Hosch, the 67-year-old Texas academic who disappeared on the Byron Herbert Reece Trail on November 11.
The video — captured by a small security camera at the trailhead parking area — has stunned both investigators and the professor’s family.
The footage shows Hosch walking calmly toward the forest entrance.
But what he was holding in his right hand is what shocked everyone:
👉 A crumpled, dirt-stained photograph of a young boy — a boy his family claims they’ve never seen before.
According to police sources, his wife immediately broke down upon seeing the image, telling officers:
“That’s not our child. Charles has never carried a photo like that.”
Even more unsettling, investigators say the photo appears old, possibly taken decades ago, and shows a boy standing in front of what looks like a cabin deep in the woods.
But the real twist came when analysts zoomed in:
🔍 The boy in the photo is circled in red ink — and someone wrote two words underneath: “FOUND YOU.”
Authorities have not confirmed who wrote the message or why Professor Hosch had the photograph with him.
Search teams have now expanded operations to a remote area of the Chattahoochee National Forest after realizing the cabin in the photograph may match an abandoned structure roughly five miles from the professor’s last GPS ping.
Police have not ruled out foul play, especially given the professor’s final text message to his family suggesting he “wasn’t alone” on the mountain.
