Gogglebox fans in tears as legend Steph Parker announces heartbreaking death
The beloved couple joined the Channel 4 show back in 2013 for its first series – and it’s fair to say it didn’t take them long to become firm favourites with fans.

Former Gogglebox stars Steph and Dom Parker have received an outpouring of support from fans following the announcement of a devastating family loss.
The cherished duo first appeared on the Channel 4 programme in 2013 during its inaugural series – and it’s safe to say they quickly established themselves as viewer favourites.
Throughout their time on screen, Steph and Dom – who tied the knot in 1998 – left audiences in fits of laughter with their witty remarks and amusing commentary on television highlights.
However, in 2016, the couple decided to step away from the programme. They subsequently published their own book and appeared in various TV shows including The Jump, Celebrity Masterchef and Celebrity Hunted, reports the Mirror.

Beyond their television work, the pair regularly keep their 25.8k Instagram followers informed about their daily activities since departing Gogglebox.
Recently though, Steph and Dom faced heartbreak when their cherished dog, Gigi – who featured in numerous Gogglebox episodes alongside the couple – tragically passed away.
The pair posted an image of tiny miniature Dachshund Gigi’s collar on their Instagram account. In an emotional message, the devastated couple wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that we lost Gigi on Thursday 18th Sept in the early evening.

“She passed away at home, in our arms and has joined Coco over the bridge to continue their mischief and zoomies together. We wish we could be more eloquent with our words – but we have none – not yet – but she was loved by so many and you have all been so kind to her and us that we wanted to share this with you as soon as we could actually get the words down – we raise a large glass to ‘The Squeedge’.”
Steph and Dom’s supporters flooded the comments section to offer their sympathies after the heartbreaking news. One individual commented: “So sorry to hear this news. Sending love to you all.” Another penned: “So very sorry for your heartbreaking loss.”
Sharing similar sentiments, a third added: “I’m so sorry. Fly high Gigi.” Someone else expressed: “She was a chapter in your lives, but you were her whole book. She was loved from beginning to end. How very special that is.” A fifth also commented: “Hugs to you both.”
Channel 4 audiences frequently caught sight of Gigi, though she managed to create some amusing disruptions during filming. What viewers didn’t witness was her habit of regularly spoiling takes with endless flatulence.
“She farts a lot. That’s not something people necessarily see on camera. That’s the sort of Swipe for they don’t show,” Steph revealed to The Daily Star in 2016. Dom continued: “People can’t see it. But we can certainly smell it. Sometimes we’re filming and she finds her squeaky toy and it causes a lot of problems.”
Gogglebox airs every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
