Netflix Just Changed the Game! The Hallmark hit The Way Home starring Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh & Evan Williams is finally landing on the platform

And yes, all 3 seasons are coming at once. Time travel, family drama & second chances… binge-watchers, this one’s about to own your weekend 🔥⏳

Netflix Picks Up Hallmark Channel Series ‘The Way Home’ Starring Andie MacDowell

Netflix is set to stream all three seasons of the time travel fantasy series headlined by MacDowell, Chyler Leigh and Evan Williams.

The Way Home Coming To Netflix

One of Hallmark’s flagship shows is heading to Netflix. Created by Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke, and Marly Reed, the fantasy series is set to make its big Netflix debut on October 1st, 2025, in the United States.

The family drama first premiered in 2023, with the plot exploring the complex lives of three generations of women in the Landry family. The series centers on Kat Landry, her 15-year-old daughter Alice, and Kat’s estranged mother, Del, portrayed by Andie MacDowell. For over two decades, a deep rift has separated the family, leaving Kat and Del estranged and Alice with no knowledge of her grandmother. Each woman is described as strong, willful, and independent, which has only deepened the chasm created by a series of life-changing events years ago.

Alongside Andie MacDowell, the series stars Chyler Leigh, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, Evan Williams, Alex Hook, and Jefferson Brown.

The series is a fan-favorite, with it carrying positive reviews across both IMDb and RottenTomatoes from audiences, with many praising its exceptional cast and intriguing premise. Decider, in their review for season 1, gave it a “stream it” rating, concluding, “Solid performances, a pretty well-thought-out time travel concept, and an avoidance of schmaltz makes The Way Home a good show to watch with your family.”

What’s on Netflix understands that Netflix is licensing all three seasons of the show, which includes the most recent third season that only premiered between January and March of this year.

In recent years, Netflix hasn’t licensed many Hallmark Channel shows, with the majority of its library having departed Netflix in the US. Another Andie MacDowell favorite, Cedar Grove, departed Netflix all the way back in May 2018, for instance, with one of their last remaining shows, Good Witch, having departed last September. That said, Netflix did license a bunch of Hallmark Christmas movies for the holidays last year. To see how much the Hallmark Channel’s library on Netflix has dwindled, though, check out our old list from 2017 here.

It’s going to be another busy month for licensing on Netflix in the US, with the streamer also set to pick up both seasons of Halo beginning on October 1st, and plenty more to look forward to throughout the rest of the month. You can keep up-to-date with all the other titles, both Netflix Originals and licensed, planned to release on Netflix throughout October, here.

Season 4 of the show was confirmed in early 2025, with production now ongoing in Scarborough, Ontario, as of August 2025, and will run through late November, presumably for a 2026 release date.
