King has been accused of picking her up from The Terrace at Chestnut Hill nursing home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and being with her when her phone went dark.
He turned himself in on Tuesday after cops announced that he’d been charged with kidnapping.
Philadelphia police have now recovered human remains, believed to be those of Scott, in a shallow grave behind an abandoned building.
Cops made the grim discovery on the grounds of the shuttered Ada H. Lewis Middle School in the East Germantown neighborhood on Saturday.
Officials said it came after a “very specific” anonymous tip the night prior, ABC reports
Philadelphia police told the outlet: “While conducting a search of the property, investigators discovered a shallow grave and recovered human remains believed to be those of Kada Scott.
“This is a heartbreaking development, and our thoughts are with Kada’s family and loved ones during this extremely difficult time.
“The Philadelphia Police Department remains committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring that justice is served.”
Police investigators combed the area following the tip, and after clearing away some debris uncovered fresh dirt and a “strange smell”.
Authorities are awaiting official confirmation that the remains are Scott’s.
BEAUTY QUEEN REMEMBERED
Scott was involved in an eerily similar domestic incident earlier in 2025 as he allegedly kidnapped and strangled a different woman.
However, the charges were dropped when King and the victim both failed to show up in court.
A terrifying video posted on social media and reviewed by authorities captured King trying to break into the victim’s home just an hour before he was charged.
In a press conference, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner blasted affordable bail and said that he understood why the victim could have been afraid that King would walk out of the courtroom right after her.
Now that King is in custody, officials have refiled the charges that were previously dropped and plan to pursue both cases.
Cops conducted extensive searches at a former middle school located around two and a half miles away from where Scott worked, law enforcement sources told Fox affiliate WTXF.
They found King’s car and Scott’s wallet and phone, but her body was nowhere to be found.
Authorities urged anyone else who had potentially been targeted by King to come forward.
Scott was preparing to compete in the 2026 Pennsylvania pageant with hopes of one day taking the national stage when she disappeared.

She was just a few weeks into her new job at the nursing home, but was remembered fondly by her coworkers.
John Craig, the captain of the Philadelphia Police Department, said Scott had told some friends she was getting some harassing phone calls in the days leading up to her kidnapping.
In an interview with The U.S. Sun, her dad Kevin Scott said he had no clue she was being called.
“I had no knowledge, not until this whole deal happened,” he said.
Kevin said that his daughter was a “laid back” person who didn’t have any enemies.
Scott’s family amassed over $10,000 on GoFundMe as a reward to anyone who gave information that led to her safe recovery.
King has been charged with kidnapping.
He also has an open DUI case and has been charged with driving away from a police officer during a traffic stop, fleeing from a police officer, and driving without a license
